Akemnji Ndifornyen is an award-winning actor, comedian, writer, producer and musician from Hackney. He won the 2019 BAFTA Breakthrough Talent award.
His works in television and film, and has performed on stage at the National Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe and London's West End.
His screen credits include 'Dreaming While Black' (BBC), 'Shrill' (Hulu/BBC), 'Mandy' (BBC), 'Sunny D' (BBC), 'Hailmakers' (BBC), 'Leonardo' (BBC) and 'Famalam' (BBC), where he also serves as writer and producer. Other roles critically-acclaimed Netflix mini-series 'The Queen's Gambit', as well the latest season of 'Famalam'.
Akemnji stars in award-winning comedy series 'Black Ops', which he also co-created and produced (BBC Studios).
He can also be seen opposite Carey Mulligan in critically-acclaimed and multi-award winning feature film 'The Ballad of Wallis Island'.
Akemnji can currently be heard as the voice of Nolin the Gnome in brand new Cbeebies animation series 'Zog' (Magic Light Pictures).
