Re-booted series ‘Thomas & Friends’ launches globally On Netflix

All aboard! Mattel is taking fans back to the Island of Sodor with ‘Thomas & Friends: Railway Stories’, a brand-new iteration of the beloved pre-school franchise.

Promising a return to the series’ roots, ‘Thomas & Friends: Railway Stories’ features a refreshed 3D animation style that blends timeless charm with contemporary appeal, leaning back into the authentic train culture and heartfelt storytelling that made the original show a global phenomenon.

The new era kicks off with a 30-minute special, ‘Really Helpful Engines’, chugging onto Netflix on September 30th, 2026, starring L&C talent Oscar Elliott as Percy, Hollie Taylor as Annie and Nigel Pilkington as James.
