Edinburgh Fringe….Watch Kimberley Nixon in ‘Baby Brain’
Cass has just become a mum. She’s also losing her mind, confined to a Mother & Baby Unit. And she’s trying to turn it into stand-up material.
‘Baby Brain’ is a darkly comic one-woman play about postpartum psychosis, the part of new motherhood that nobody puts on the Instagram grid. It’s funny. It’s frightening. And it’s more common than most people realise.
Written and directed by Kimberley Nixon, Tim Clague & Danny Stack, and performed by Kimberley herself, ‘Baby Brain’ follows new mother Cass as she navigates a mental health crisis.
She takes us on wild journey through stand-up routines, gossiping about the patients & staff, and devastating emotional honesty about whether or not she’s the right mum, or if any of this is really happening.
Watch Kimberley perform ‘Baby Brain” in Studio Three at Assembly George Square Studios from 21st – 30th August.
