Georgie Rogers

Georgie is a London based broadcaster, music journalist, voiceover and DJ.  A tastemaker in alternative and electronic music, she regularly contributes her warmth, knowledge and personality to BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, Apple Music's Beats 1, Soho Radio, Foundation FM and Monocle 24.

BBC 6 Music has been her spiritual home for the past decade where she works as a broadcast music journalist and her interviews and investigative pieces heard on the network with some of the biggest names in music.

Georgie continues to indulge her boundless enthusiasm for music, radio and culture whether its interviewing her favourite musicians, presenting the Rolling Stones' Exhibitionism launch, spinning tunes at the V&A Museum, Topshop, festivals Secret Garden Party, Field Day, comparing the main stage at Standon Calling, booking bands for her east London club night Cat Lovers, curating playlists for brands or presenting TV content for Vevo.

She has just launched new platform "Super Women", where she has joined forces with a crew of aspiring female filmmakers to create real opportunities for women in the industry and address gender imbalance behind the camera.

From Elspeth Beard, the first British women to motorcycle around the world in the 1980s (at the age of 23), to an award-winning record producer Catherine Marks, tech pioneer and Code First Girls CEO Amali De Alwis MBE and Labour MP Dianne Abbott, the films highlight what it took for women to blaze the trail across business, music, motorsports, politics, tech and culture to realise their dreams in the most extraordinary ways.
