Georgie Rogers


Georgie Rogers is a London born and based broadcaster, tastemaker, journalist, promoter and DJ.

A freelance music journalist, she regularly contributes on BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 and Apple Music's international station Beats 1.

Georgie graduated from University with an English and Drama degree in 2007. On leaving she combined her passion for music and a chat starting out at Virgin, Jersey 103 and XFM interviewing bands, voicing packages, station sound and writing articles. Within a year of graduating she was scouted to join BBC 6 Music's music news team.

Over the years she cut her teeth in the chair helming the Breakfast ship at Amazing Radio and shows on Diesel U Music, Strongroom Alive before returning to XFM in 2012 to host her own late night slot while covering around the schedule and doing long stints on weekday evenings during her four years there.

Almost a decade into her career she continues to indulge her boundless enthusiasm for music, radio and culture whether its interviewing her favourite musicians, presenting the Rolling Stones' Exhibitionism launch, spinning tunes at the V&A Museum, Topshop, festivals Secret Garden Party, Field Day, comparing the main stage at Standon Calling, booking bands for her east London club night Cat Lovers, curating playlists for brands or presenting TV content for Vevo.
