Alexandra Dowling is a London based actor who works in film, television and theatre.
She has a classical theatre training from the Oxford School of Drama and theatre credits include; 'While the Sun Shines' (Theatre Royal Bath), 'Don Carlos' (Rose Theatre Kingston), ' A Lie of the Mind' (Southwark Playhouse), playing Juliet in 'Romeo and Juliet' and Lady Anne in 'Richard III' (Shakespeare's Rose Theatre York) and 'Vassa' (Almeida Theatre).
Alexandra is best known for playing Queen Anne in 3 seasons of 'The Musketeers' (BBC). Other notable TV credits include; 'Game of Thrones' (HBO), 'Merlin' (BBC) and 'Agatha Christie’s Poirot' (ITV). Her recent screen credits include 'The Silence of Mercy' (Luma Pictures), Falling Into Place (Compact Pictures) and playing Charlotte Bronte in 'Emily' (Tempo Productions) alongside Emma Mackey, Oliver Jackson Cohen and Fionn Whitehead, directed by Frances O'Connor.
She can currently be seen in Paramount+ UK's adaptation of 'The Doll Factory' by Elizabeth Macneal.
Alexandra will next been seen in Sky Atlantic’s ‘Sweetpea’ with Ella Purnell and Nicole Lecky due for release in 2024.
