Matt Edmondson is a broadcaster, author, creator and DJ.
Matt joined BBC Radio 1 in 2011 and has hosted a variety of shows for the network. He and his real-life best pal, Mollie King, currently host weekday afternoons Monday to Thursday 1-3.30pm.
His TV presenting roles have been many and varied including 'The Apprentice: Meet the Candidates' (BBC2), 'Children in Need' (BBC1), 'The Xtra Factor', 'Release the Hounds', 'Fake Reaction' (all for ITV2) and 'T4' (Channel 4). Alongside Mollie he hosted the rebooted UK version of 'Beauty And The Geek' for Discovery+.
Matt released his first song, 'Your Car', in 2020 with vocals performed by Aymee Weir. Leaning into his newly found love of music production, his podcast, 'Not Another Love Song', saw him collaborate with pop artists to create an album with song subjects as diverse and surreal as Hay Fever to Dishwashers.
Inspired by his own passion for magic, in 2017 Macmillan published Matt’s first book for children The Greatest Magician in the World.
He is the host of the recently launched podcast 'Spent' that lifts the lid on celebrities receipts and has previously teamed up with author, Adam Kay, to present the podcast A List of 'Absolutely Everything That Might Kill You'.
