Cara Horgan is a London-based actor with Italian parentage.

She burst onto our screens as Claire Newman in the BBC adaptation of 'The Rotters’ Club' and has gone on to star in feature films 'Death of Stalin', 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' and 'Disobedience'.

Cara’s television credits include ‘Sandman' (Netflix), ‘Traitors’ (C4), ‘Alex Rider’ and ‘Flack’ (Amazon), ‘Black Cake’ (Hulu) ‘Jane Eyre’ (BBC) and ‘Peep Show’ (C4), amongst many other screen appearances.

On stage Cara, has starred in a host of major roles at the Lyric Hammersmith, The National Theatre and the Barbican. Her plays include ‘Cellmates’ (Hampstead Theatre), ‘The Mother’ directed by Laurence Boswell, Katie Mitchell’s ‘Pains of Youth’ and ‘Hedda’ directed by Carrie Cracknell.

She is currently leading the TV adaptation of Robert Thorogood's best-selling novel 'The Marlow Murder Club' (UKTV/PBS Masterpiece) opposite Samantha Bond and Jo Martin
